SAND AND CARBON FILTERS

SAND FILTER

The pollution caused by the undissolved suspended solids (sediment, sand, mud, etc.) in the water is called turbidity. These substances cause blockages in machinery and installations and increase in energy consumption. Removing the pollution caused by suspended solids is done by the filtration process. Keeping the particles will also protect the devices that will be used after it.

Equipped with fully automatic control systems, this device automatically performs the necessary backwashing at certain times without human intervention, adhering to the program to be given at the beginning.

CARBON FILTER

Substances such as turbidity, color, odor, taste, chlorine and chlorine compounds, detergents, petroleum industry wastes and asbestos in water are primarily harmful to human health and render water undrinkable and unusable. Compounds that cause discoloration and odors in water are organic substances. The high probability of microbe growth in the presence of organic matter makes the amount of organic matter important. The adsorption property of activated carbon is used to remove these harmful substances from water.

IRON AND MANGANESE REMOVAL

Filters are used to remove iron and manganese ions dissolved in water.

Iron ions cause various problems such as color and bacterial growth in domestic and industrial use. Removal of iron and manganese is particularly important in the textile, paper, leather and food industries.

In iron and manganese removal, a special mineral is used to oxidize and remove iron and manganese from water. Oxidized iron-manganese ions are kept in the filter and are thrown out by backwashing. Depending on the concentration of iron and manganese in water, it is possible to use special minerals for iron-manganese removal.

CATIONIC RESIN WATER SOFTENING SYSTEMS

Calcium and magnesium minerals in the water cause permanent hardness (lime). Hard water causes blockages in installations and devices, severe damage to systems due to limescale, and even excessive energy consumption. Plumbing exposed to hard water becomes unusable, devices deteriorate and the quality of products decreases. In order to avoid these damages, Ca and Mg minerals in the water are removed by fully automatic systems working with ion exchange method.
